Nigeria’s golden Eaglets suffered a shock 2 – 1 to Australia in their final Group B game of the ongoing FIFA u 17 World Cup in Brazil vc sports reports

The Australians took the midway through the first half as Noah Botic grapped his fourth of the tournament .

However the Eaglets fought back into the game as striker Peter Olawale restored parity for the five time champions .

But the Australians were not finished yet as Botic grapped his second on the night from the spot living the Eaglets heart broken as there was no way back for the Marnu Garba’s men to pull a third comack .

The results means that Nigeria finished as Group B Winners and Australia going through as one of the three best teams in the tournament .

Meanwhile in the other group B encounter Ecuador beat Hungary by 3 – 2 to secure second spot living the Hungarians with nothing to show for their efforts in the group

The Golden Eaglets dominated the opening exchanges but were let down as a result of poor finishing in front of goal.
