
Newcastle united continued their impressive form as they held champions Manchester city to a 2 – 2 draw at the st James park
it was the champions who took the lead midway through the first half as Raheem Sterling put the visitors in front with a sublime fine finish after a brilliant one two with David Silva which kept Newcastle’s goalkeeper Martin DUbradka helpless with both teams sharing the spoils at the break.
CIty restored their lead with ten minutes to go as Kelvin Debryne struck a sensational strike to restore the visitors lead however the home side had the final say of the afternoon as the former liverpol man Jojo shelvey broke the hearts of the city faithful’s with his cool finish inside the last five minutes earning an all important point for the marc piece
the results means that city remains in second place with Leicester yet to play until tomorrow as Newcastle move up to 12th on the table
