Obasogie Expresses Calmness Ahead Of Wikki Clash

Bendel Insurance Football Club of Benin captain and Super Eagles goalkeeper, Amas Obasogie has expressed his team’s readiness ahead of today’s President Federation Cup tie against Wikki Tourist of Bauchi.

He made this known in an exclusive interview with vcsports.sport.blog last night, where he stated that the team was prepared to defend the title they won last season as they are well motivated by the Edo state government.

He added that, while their opponents are no pushovers, his side is not under pressure going into the game with the coach Monday Odigie putting them in the right frame of mind to get the win.

The Benin Arsenal are currently 8th on the log after MatchWeek 32 of the ongoing Nigeria Premier Football League season.

Obasogie led his side to the 2023 CAF Confederation Cup Preliminary Round, losing 3-2 on aggregate to RS Barkane of Morocco to exit the competition.

All eyes will be on today’s Round of 32 clash as they hope to return to the Continent. The game is slated for 4:00 PM, at the Area 3 Playground, Abuja.
