London based former Nigerian and World Wrestling Champion, Morris Atula has expressed his willingness to make Nigerian wrestlers best in the world.

Nicknamed Golden Warrior, Atula who was also a former Commonwealth Champion recently got full backing of Veteran Wrestlers Association ahead Federation elections coming up soon

Morris Atula has declares that he has what it takes to boost Nigerian Wrestlers and Wrestling locally and internationally.
“I quite accept the backing of Veteran Wrestlers Association of Nigeria as it’s my immediate constituency. It’s high time round pegs be on round holes of Nigeria Sports. The right results must come if quality ex Wrestlers blended with other sound individuals are elected into the next board of the Nigeria Wrestling Federation.

“Only quality ex Wrestlers can make Nigerian Wrestlers emerge World best in various categories. I have the solution to our Wrestling problems hence the National Sports Commission should encourage veterans to be at the forefront. We (NWF) would encourage regular zonal and inter state Wrestling Championships towards discovering and naturing of young and talented Wrestlers.

“Should our dream board get elected, there must be a very sound Technical Director and department to radically facilitate our projection of raising World champions regularly. We will fully get Sports loving corporate groups and individuals to be prominent in sponsorship of Wrestling programs and provision of Wrestling Mats in all state of the Federation, including FCT.

Atula who hinted of his readiness to relocate to Nigeria if he emerges NWF president further thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for returning the National Sports Commission (NSC). “Big thanks to our Dear President. It was the NSC under quality Administrators that produced great Wrestlers and other Sports champions.

So good to have a seasoned Shehu Dikko as the Head. Better days are here for Nigerian Sports”, concluded the former Commonwealth Champion.
