Akwa United defender Oshomo Olamilekan has expressed confidence that his side will record back-to-back victories for the first time this season when they welcome Plateau United in another home fixture on Sunday.
The team secured a slim 1-0 home win in their match day five encounter versus Gombe United on Wednesday, a result which calmed the pressure on the players and technical crew.
Speaking to our reporter Sarah Badji, Oshomo said that he believed the victory against Gombe United was the turning point for his team and that it would spur them to do more in subsequent games.
He said the joy of playing in front of their home fans will help them get all three points provided they keep their opponents in check and play to the instructions of the Coach. The game will be played at the Eket stadium as against their original Godswill Akpabio stadium, Uyo, which is being used for international engagements.
